Granton Castle Walled Garden
Granton Castle is long gone, but did you know that its beautiful walled garden still remains? The site was earmarked for demolition and development, but a group of committed locals saved the space and it is now used as a beautiful community garden served by an army of volunteers. It provides a relaxing space to connect with nature, unwind and socialise – as well as grow amazing produce!
The Friends of Granton Castle Walled garden will be telling us their story of how they fought off the developers and secured the land as an asset for locals and visitors. Perhaps they might inspire you to do the same?
See their story on display at the Edinburgh Shoreline exhibition from 28 July – 23 September. Keep an eye on our updates page to see how the project progresses.
