Isle of May Restoration Forth overnight activity stay

Three members of our team spent a happy and sunny two days on the Isle of May in early August where we had been holding our Forthline squares exhibition in the Stevenson Lighthouse. Although we used it to celebrate two Edinburgh Shoreline birthdays, we were actually there to run a Restoration Forth focused event for the day visitors. We
organised a species hunt and a range of activities for both adults and children in the visitor centre as well as displays about our purpose and projects. The two NatureScot resident rangers complemented this with information on the island’s moths and birds. A sub-marine filmmaker, Seb Sertignan, with whom we are liaising, also joined us and was able to film and then show the visitors some wonderful footage of undersea life around the Isle.
