As part of our Above and Below project, funded by Elgol Fund for Nature we had a wonderful time supporting the Largo Blue Space Festival hosted by Friends of Largo Bay. This was a two-day community festival, shining a light on conservation in their coastal backyard. The event was part of the celebrations for World Environment and World Oceans Day which took place on 6th and 7th of June.
We spent valuable time with other organisations caring for Largo Bay and the Firth of Forth for shared learning, fun, and collaboration.
We visited the beach (in the rain!) to explore the biodiversity and take new readings from our thermal data loggers. We also extended our network and attended some very interesting workshops.
Great to agree some follow ups to feed into our final Above and Below exhibitions next spring.
A very successful event – big thanks to Friends of Largo Bay for organising this!
