With the project raising awareness about all the different species living in the forth, I liked the idea of the sand goby blending in with their environment. The fish is very abundant along the coast and with their sandy colours and speckles they become part of the seabed.
I carved the two sand gobies out of wood and added some wood shavings as the fins. By creating them true to size and presenting them in sand I tried to recreate how they are camouflaging under water.
