We’re looking for your images of the Edinburgh shoreline to feed into a new creative map.

Over the next six weeks we are mapping and recording your experiences of Edinburgh’s 27 kilometres of shoreline.

We want to know: How do you use it? What’s important and what’s not? Are there hidden gems that other people should know about? Or is there something that needs improved?

You will find us at:

The Wash House, 3 Adelphi Grove, EH15 1AP 7th August from 4-7pm
Craigentinny Community Centre 9 Loaning Road, EH7, 8th August from 4-7pm
Rosebery Hall South Queensferry, 7 West Terrace EH30 14 August from 4-7pm
Granton Hub, 33 Granton Park Ave, EH5 21st August from 4-7pm

Don’t worry if you cannot make one of the events, you can still take part in the project: just post an image from you phone or camera, ideally with a couple of lines about why you chose it, and we will highlight on the map.

Share you images on www.facebook.com/EdinburghShoreline or www.twitter.com/EdinburghShore1.

We have a couple of (small) prizes to give away for the images and reasons we find most evocative.

Please note we will not be re-using or replicating any images that you submit. Please ensure you watermark any images that you do not wish other social media users to be able to share without credit.

Edinburgh Shoreline is an exciting, new, community centred initiative celebrating the city’s 27km coastline.

We are rediscovering its fascinating and often unknown history and the rich plant and animal life that survives against the odds in unexpected places, and inspiring people to explore their coast and take responsibility for its future health.
