Edinburgh Shoreline are now part of an EU Horizons Consortium connected through to the team at UN Environment Program.
The aim is to develop a proposal for the Horizon Europe Call Unlocking the potential of citizen action for nature protection and restoration.
In essence, the proposal is centered on citizen- and community-led restoration, and on how local actors can be better supported to move from care, observation and volunteering into more coordinated restoration action, stewardship, and longer-term local opportunities.
We are looking in particular at practical support for citizen action, local coordination and governance, peer learning between territories, and the creation of a broader community of practice around citizen- and community-led restoration across Europe.
