In Spring 2025, we were delighted to be invited to the celebration to officially open the park, where the new permanent public art sculpture was unveiled, designed by Edinburgh artist Svetlana Kondakora Muir in collaboration with the community, including Edinburgh Shoreline.
We helped support Svetlana to come up with the idea for the whale and the recognition of the inspiration that the Restoration Forth project has provided. A great, if very cold, day!
The completion of the restoration works and opening of the park marks a significant milestone for the £1.3b regeneration of Granton Waterfront, as an iconic landmark within the centre of the development.
